Shreveport Convention Center

The Shreveport Convention Center opened in January, 2006 and is ideally located in the heart of the downtown business district.  The Convention Center is within walking distance of family friendly museums and attractions such as Sci-Port Discovery Center and RiverView Park with Disney-style choreographed water fountains on the beautiful Red River. 

Across the Red River and minutes away from the Convention Center is the Louisiana Boardwalk.  The first phase opened in spectacular fashion in November, 2003, with the state's first Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World. The remainder of Boardwalk opened in May 2005 and joined a vibrant casino district nestled along the majestic riverfront for nearly a half-mile.  Louisiana Boardwalk is the first lifestyle center to open in the state of Louisiana offering outlet shopping, an entertainment district and riverfront dining.

For the adults, Las-Vegas style casinos, fabulous restaurants and nightlife are nearby in the Red River Entertainment District about one-half mile from the Convention Center.  Or take a relaxing stroll down the walking path that hugs the Red River bank.

Southern hospitality at its best!  The "Red River Classic" combines a state of the art facility with the warm embrace of true Southern hospitality providing the perfect backdrop for championship volleyball competition.

Parking Garage Charge

There is a parking charge of $5 per vehicle in the SCC parking garage for the Red River Classic. 

Parking - Attendees will pay at the entrance from one of convention center ticket takers.  No food or beverage will be allowed in the building due to our Food and Beverage policy. If attendees bring food, they may eat it out in front of the building at the benches or they can picnic in front of our garage in the grass - it’s a very nice area. We will also have concessions available for them and they can eat that at the picnic tables in the pre-function area in the building. However we will allow the coolers for the players for their Gatorade.  There will be a cooler check at the entrance for safety of guest (we will not go through the coolers we will only have them to open it) and place a sticker on their cooler once it has been checked-in.  They must keep the sticker on their cooler each day so that once security has checked it, they won't have to check it again during the tournament

NO FOOD, DRINKS, COOLERS, ETC. MAY BE BROUGHT INTO THE CONVENTION CENTER.
