Joe & Joanie Williams, club founders

Founding the first junior volleyball club in the state of Arkansas in 1985, Joe & Joanie Williams began an activity that would stretch across 20 states and watch thousands of athletes enjoy J.O. volleyball over parts of three decades. Joe Williams was honored with the Oustanding Service award by the Youth and Junior Division of USA Volleyball in 2001.  He was volunteer head coach at Lyon College in 1999 and is a nationally-recognized coaching and officiating clinician.  Joe serves as club director and 18s coach.  In 2003, he was elected as Commissioner of the Delta Region of USA Volleyball and serves on the national Competition Commission.  Joanie is a former recipient of the USA Volleyball Robert Lindsey Meritorious Service Award and now serves at Registrar/Office Manager for the Delta Region.  She will show you pictures of Cissy & Sandi upon request.

     Joe Thomas, 161 coach
Joe Thomas worked with Joe & Joanie Williams in 1985 with the first Arkansas Jrs. Volleyball team.  He began coaching teams solo two years later and has been a fixture of the Arkansas Jrs. program, recognized across the country by hundreds of players and coaches.

Fred Gramlich, 131 coach Fred Gramlich coached 12-1 in 2004-05, winning Delta Regionals and the Bid Qualifier in 2005.  Fred has been an active player in men's volleyball (including two trips to the U.S. Open Nationals) since moving to Jonesboro from Fort Smith.  Daugher Katie Gramlich was a standout player in the Arkansas Jrs. program  and was an All-State tournament selection in 2005 at Westside High School.  She now plays volleyball at Williams Baptist and coaches our 142 team.

Denay Oesterblad Hoskins 132 coach.  Just in her first season as a JOVB coach. This Jonesboro High School native played  seven years for Arkansas Jrs., then a successful volleyball career at Shawnee Community College before joing the ASU squad.  She's Tyler's mom and is currenlty coaching our 132 team.  Denay is also available for private training sessions.

Coach:  Erin Neeley; Native of Bono, Arkansas and former member of biker gang known as Rebel Red.  Libero for ASU Red Wolves; played for umpteen years for Arkansas Jrs. and her former coaches think karma will provide proper payback.

14-2 Coach:  Katie Gramlich-Dillon; Returns for her sixth year of J.O. volleyball coaching while a senior volleyball player at Williams Baptist College.  Won her first Cajunland 10s championship in 2006 in her first coaching season and hasn't let us forget it.  Update:  She got her first coaching job next year at Brookland!!!  (insert parent's happiness here)

Anna Wyatt, 122 coach, played eight years for Arkansas Jrs. while a standout at Nettleton High School.  A former cancer patient, Anna brings energy to her team and is generally the same size as the 12s.  Her passion is life in her sorority at Arkansas State University-- Phi Delta Gotta FindA Husband.

Coach:  Heather Gillion:  After seven years of Arkansas Jrs. Volleyball and three years with ASU volleyball, we finally talked her into helping out at practices.....she's the one who will step in & show the players the correct way to perform a skill.  4.0 GPA accounting graduate; maintaining the same excellence while finishing her Master's at ASU.

Melissa Williams, 11s coach.  Currently the head coach and former standout at Piggott High School, this native is a bit camera-shy but is the mother of 9 or 10 girls (they are never still long enough to count) and is currently coaching Karsen and the 11s team.  With a 2-hour round-trip commute to practice, I hope you appreciate her dedication.

Margie McGee, best-known locally as the successful Valley View High School coach, but whose volleyball roots trace back to the mean streets of Chicago, where she grew up hitting wadded up newspaper over an electrical line strung across the street...in traffic.  A 4-year letterman at ASU, Margie is in the NCAA record books as one of the most-prolific diggers of all time.  She's also the mom of Abby & Gracie and is coaching our 10s.
